Course description

Inclusion is not an end in itself, but rather a means, a process, which undergoes constant change from the analysis of the existing school situation in order to design environments which allow our pupils to feel they are part of the learning process. This course will provide tools for analysing educational environments from a perspective that favours a reduction of learning barriers and to design inclusive learning situations inside the classroom according to the precepts of Universal Design for Learning.

Formats:

  • A virtual environment on an online platform, with tutoring and follow-ups of the activities proposed according to a Design Thinking model: educational environment analysis, learning from success stories and designing an inclusive learning situation (30 hours, with 5 learning modules, 4 intermediate products and one final product).
  • Synchronous workshop-style, online sessions including support materials, work notebooks and follow-up for designing an inclusive learning situation (16 hours, 8 x 2-hour sessions).
Objectives
  • Analysing actual educational situations in order to reduce learning barriers and progress in building inclusive educational environments.
