ABOUT THE PROJECT

School Comes First

'School comes first' is an innovation project promoted by Fundación Cotec whose objective is to offer the Administration, educational centres, teaching staff, and other institutions the necessary tools to face the challenges faced by the educational system, in the different scenarios and situations – face-to-face and remote – caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

'School Comes First' has two areas of action: public policies and educational practice that, working together, can offer innovative solutions to the multiple challenges facing the education system and schools in the coming months. The project includes initiatives that address the issues facing the system from a normative and planning point of view, as well as in terms of methodology for education centres and teachers.

'"School Comes First" has been a pioneering project that has united teachers from different education centres from across Spain to explore, investigate and create proposals that will help the school. Being part of the team that has led it has reconfirmed to me that learning and success only exists if it is joint action'.
Loli García
Laboratorio LELP Facilitator
'"School Comes First" has been oxygen. It has been fun; I was looking forward to the time to go online. Thinking education from joy and trust in a team that makes you think about teaching, being a permanent apprentice is a hoot'.
Marta María Álvarez
Director of CEIP Parque Infantil
'An inspiring virtual collaboration process with a very TOP facilitator team'. Diana Pastoriza. Educational advisor. 'In school it is necessary to live and experience learning, it is not necessary to set the learnings. School is for living it, and not to set it'.
Sofía Deza
Director of CEIP Clara Campoamor
'A rush of creative ideas working as a team, which continues months later every time we can share our creations and hopes for educational change with other schools and teachers'.
